Dr. Bock was an emergency physician who served as Professor & Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan from 1985 to 2005. He simultaneously served as Specialist-in-Chief, Emergency Medicine for the Detroit Medical Center (DMC). This center serves 340,000 emergency patients annually. In 2005 he was appointed President of Harper University Hospital and Hutzel Women’s Hospital, two large facilities within the DMC, and served in that capacity until moving, with his family, to Vail in August 2008. Additionally, Dr. Bock has served as President of the America Academy of Emergency Physicians as well as the American Board of Emergency Medicine. As CEO, Dr. Bock will guide CMM in the ever-changing health-care environment, and work with the community and the Vail Valley Medical Center in assuring quality medical care for the resident and guest populations. Dr. Bock’s fresh perspective is enhanced by his experience as both a physician, an administrator, and as a parent. |
